SWARM.STUDIO: A brain for your AI. A marketplace for your plugins.
SWARM.STUDIO · in development
The brain teaches the AI you already use how to build professional plugins. The marketplace, coming next, is where you sell them.
From your idea to a plugin worth selling.
- You: Describe the plugin you want.
- Your AI: Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
- The brain: DSP knowledge, working code, the rules.
- Your plugin: Built to hold up in a DAW.
- The marketplace: Where you sell it.
Your AI asks The brain; The brain answers.
Nobody pays for a plugin that crackles.
You asked your AI to build a synth. It wrote the code, it compiled, it loaded in your DAW. And it crackles.
The code is not the problem. Nobody taught your AI how audio works, so it did the three things that quietly ruin a first plugin.
- It used memory in the one place it never can, so the audio drops out.
- It skipped the filtering that keeps high notes clean, so the top end turns brittle.
- It let parameters jump when they needed to glide, so every knob turn clicks.
The brain
The brain is what your AI asks before it writes audio code.
Connect it once. From then on, when you ask for an oscillator, a filter or a reverb, your AI gets the real thing back.
- Working C++: Code that goes straight into your project, not a sketch to fix later.
- The reasoning: Why it is built that way, so you pick up the words as you go.
- The rules: What keeps it from breaking: no dropouts, no brittle top end, no zipper noise, presets that still load tomorrow.
What's inside the brain
- Sound theory: How synthesis and effects actually work. (Subtractive, FM, Wavetable, Granular, Physical modelling, Reverb, Delay, Dynamics)
- Working code: C++ patterns that compile and pass their own tests. (Oscillators, Filters, Envelopes, Voices, Compressor, Chorus and flanger)
- JUCE: The framework most plugins are built on. (Plugin lifecycle, Parameters, State, Build setup)
- Plugin engineering: Everything around the sound. (Formats, Presets, Modulation, Testing, Performance)
- The rules: What keeps a plugin from breaking. (No dropouts, No aliasing, No zipper noise, Thread-safe controls, Presets that load)
- Build & ship: From code to an installer. (CMake, VST3 and AU, Installers, Signing)
- Max for Live: The other half of audio development. (Devices, Patching, gen~)
Built for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. You keep your AI, your editor and your code. The code is yours.
The brain is built from the same knowledge behind HydroSwarm, SwarmSeq and CAS: three plugins that more than 800 producers have paid for, through our own store and four plugin stores.
The marketplace
A plugin that works still needs somewhere to be sold.
Next, SWARM.STUDIO opens a marketplace for plugins built with the brain: a place for what you make to be found, and bought.
The brain comes first. The marketplace follows.
Sell from your own dashboard, with full control over your products: your page, your price, your updates, your buyers.
- Your store page: Your words, your audio demos, your screenshots.
- Your price: You set it, and you run your own discounts.
- Your updates: Upload a new version and every buyer gets it.
- Your numbers: See your sales and where buyers come from.
- Your buyers: Every buyer's email is yours. Talk to the people who bought your plugin.
What it will not do
It will not give you taste. The brain can tell your AI how to build a filter correctly. It cannot tell you whether your filter sounds good, because it cannot hear.
The listening, the shaping and the deciding are still yours, and that is the part buyers pay for.
It will not sell your plugin for you either. The marketplace gives it a place to be found. What makes someone buy it is you.
For people who build by asking
You build by asking your AI. You have an idea for an instrument that does not exist yet. You want to release it, not just hear it once.
You would rather spend the next year on your sound than on DSP theory.
Before you join
Is it available now?
Not yet. The brain is being written and tested now. Join the waitlist and we will write when it is ready. There is no date yet, and we would rather be late than ship it thin.
Is the marketplace live?
No. The brain comes first, then the marketplace.
Do I need to know DSP?
No. That is the point of the brain. You describe what you want, and your AI asks the brain how to build it properly. You will learn the words along the way if you want to.
Which AI does it work with?
It is being built for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The Claude app, on web and desktop, is not supported at launch.
There are free frameworks for this. Why would I pay?
Some are good, and if one works for you, use it. What we bring is knowledge that has already shipped: the same rules sit inside three plugins producers have paid for. And a place to sell what you build, which a framework does not give you.
Who owns what I build?
You do. The code lands in your own project.
Will it make my plugin sound good?
It will make it work properly. Sounding good is still your job. The brain cannot hear; you can.
How much will it cost?
We will share pricing with the waitlist first.
